Welcome to the website of the Department of Chemical Engineering

The department encompasses the fields of chemical engineering and food technology and consists of 32 permanent lecturers, one associate lecturer, 16 postdoctoral researchers, 17 predoctoral researchers who collaborate in teaching activities, and one laboratory technician, carrying out their teaching and research work at the university's three campuses: Vigo, Pontevedra, and Ourense.

The Chemical Engineering teaching staff teaches in the Faculties and Schools of Engineering in the University Campus. The area of Food Technology focuses its activity in the Faculty of Science in the Campus of Ourense.

The Department headquarters can be found in the Campus of Vigo, in the “Fundición” building, of the School of Industrial Engineering.
